An Introduction to an Autism Class: May 6th, Live School Webinar

2 Hour Live Online Workshop

May 6th  at 9.30am – 11.30am

This workshop is most suited to teachers and SNAs who are setting up an Autism Class or who are moving into an Autism Class setting for the first time.

This workshop will cover:

  • Classroom Environment : exploration of possible layouts, structures and base routines for the classroom
  • IEPS / SSPs : writing SMART targets, examples of targets and target writing support tools
  • Short -Term Planning : Fortnightly planning and Monthly Progress Reports (templates provided)
  • Time-Tables: How to time-table for priority needs, group lessons and integration
  • The Use of Visuals: For classroom routines, personal organisation, for supporting behaviour and supporting the development of social skills (visual aids inventory provided)
  • Gathering Information: Information gathering checklist and process for once a child is enrolled (template provided)

The 2 hour workshop is €90 per school (unlimited teachers, SNAs, Management) and includes  a resource bundle and templates.
